On July 7, 2014, at approximately 6:30 a.m., Jefferson County deputies responded to a shooting incident at a residence in the 900 block of 21st Avenue Northwest in Center Point, Alabama. Upon arrival, they discovered 40-year-old Agila Lee Flennory deceased from gunshot wounds. His 18-year-old nephew was also present, having sustained a gunshot wound to the leg; he was treated and subsequently released from the hospital.
