On February 23, 2015, in Somerville, Alabama, 32-year-old Chad Anthony Lorance was fatally shot at a residence near the local post office. The incident occurred around 4 PM, with Lorance sustaining a single gunshot wound that proved fatal. Authorities quickly identified Bryan Crow, a longtime friend of Lorance, as the primary suspect. Crow turned himself in to Morgan County Sheriff Ana Franklin later that evening.
