In Northeast Washington, D.C., on a Monday morning in the spring of 2015, a life was unexpectedly cut short in a tragic accident. Seventy-three-year-old James Gary was in the 4000 block of Clay Place where a construction company was in the process of repaving the street. Around 10:24 a.m. on June 15th, one of the street sweepers was backing up and struck Mr. Gary as he was crossing the street.
Emergency services were called to the scene, and James Gary was transported to a local hospital
