On April 13, 2015, in Jemison, Alabama, 24-year-old Leaj Jarvis Price was fatally shot by her estranged husband, Eric Heath Price. The incident began with a domestic dispute at their residence, prompting Leaj to flee approximately 100 yards to Jemison Internal Medicine, a nearby doctor's office, seeking help. Upon entering, she urgently requested the staff to call the police.
