On April 30, 2015, 18-year-old Christopher James Brito was fatally shot at his father's residence on Country Cross Roads near Florala, Alabama. Deputies from the Covington County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene around 9:30 p.m., discovering Brito deceased from an apparent gunshot wound.
