In the spring of 2008, a grim discovery was made inside an abandoned building in the 5900 block of East Capitol Street, SE, in Washington, D.C. On the afternoon of Tuesday, May 13th, the body of a man, identified as Bobby Lewis Moore, was found. It was apparent to authorities that his body had been there for some time before he was located around 3:15 p.m.
The Metropolitan Police Department quickly classified Mr. Moore's death as a homicide and launched an investigation. The case was taken on by the department's Criminal Investigation Division, specifically the Homicide Branch. In an effort to gather leads and bring a resolution to the case, the police department sought the public's help.
A reward of up to $25,000 was offered for any information that would lead to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for his death.
