On January 5, 2016, in Fort Mitchell, Alabama, 76-year-old Leroy Harmon and his 26-year-old granddaughter, Bionka Harmon, were fatally shot in their home. The suspect, 19-year-old Travon Harmon, who was both Leroy's grandson and Bionka's brother, was arrested in connection with the shootings. Another individual, Devonte Howard, a childhood friend of Travon, was also shot during the incident but survived.
