In the spring of 2016, a life was tragically cut short in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Germerio Martez Bobo, a 21-year-old male, was killed on Tuesday, May 10, 2016. The fatal incident occurred around 7 p.m. at the Crescent East Apartments in Holt, an area within Tuscaloosa.
According to police reports, the event unfolded after witnesses heard gunshots and observed a car speeding away from the scene.
It is believed that Bobo had been involved in an argument with an individual in that same vehicle just moments before the shooting. When law enforcement arrived, they discovered Bobo with a gunshot wound to his chest. Despite the efforts of first responders, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The investigation into the death of Germerio Bobo led to a swift arrest. A 17-year-old, Cameron Raeshawn Wiggins, was taken into custody in connection with the shooting. Wiggins was subsequently charged with capital murder and was held in the Tuscaloosa County Jail without bond.
