On May 10, 2016, 21-year-old Germerio Martez Bobo was fatally shot at Crescent East Apartments in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Witnesses reported hearing gunfire and observed a dark-colored vehicle fleeing the scene. Investigators determined that Bobo had been involved in an argument with an individual in a car, which escalated when someone in the vehicle fired shots as it sped away. The altercation was believed to have stemmed from a prior drug transaction involving counterfeit money.
