On September 14, 2016, 23-year-old Jackie Dogen was fatally shot in Childersburg, Alabama, while preparing for her child's birthday party. The incident occurred at the Sadie Lee Holmes housing community, where Dogen resided with her four children. According to authorities, an argument erupted between Dogen and her ex-boyfriend, 23-year-old Tre'Querius Marquez Twyman, who is also the father of one of her children.
