On October 15, 2016, 44-year-old white male Walter L. Lee III was fatally shot in Smiths Station, Alabama. His death was recorded as a result of gun violence. Walter's obituary noted his passing on October 15, 2016, and mentioned that visitation services were held on October 20 at Colonial Funeral Home & Crematory in Phenix City, Alabama.
