On November 21, 2016, in Blountsville, Alabama, 78-year-old Bennie Moore and his wife, 74-year-old Fay Moore, were tragically shot to death while they slept in their home. Their son, 41-year-old Heath Benson Moore, called 911 shortly before midnight to report that he had shot his parents. Following instructions from the dispatcher, he placed the weapon down and lay in the driveway until deputies arrived, leading to his arrest without incident.
