In the quiet community of Blountsville, Alabama, the lives of 78-year-old Bennie Houston Moore and his 74-year-old wife, Fay Nell Moore, were brought to a tragic end on the night of November 21, 2016. The couple, who were longtime residents of the area, were shot and killed as they slept in their home located on County Highway 10. The person who alerted authorities to this violent act was their own son, 41-year-old Heath Benson Moore. He reportedly called 9-1-1 and confessed to the shooting.
