On the morning of December 24, 2008, the body of 61-year-old Yoshio Nakada was discovered in front of the Potomac Plaza Apartments on Virginia Avenue, NW in Washington, D.C. Mr. Nakada, a Japanese immigrant, had sustained fatal injuries to his head, which the D.C. Medical Examiner's office later determined were the result of multiple chop wounds that caused skull fractures and a subarachnoid hemorrhage. The Metropolitan Police Department is treating his death as a homicide.
