On May 21, 2017, in Holt, Alabama, 29-year-old Christopher Deon Rhone was fatally shot during a confrontation at a residence on the 1700 block of 41st Avenue Northeast. Upon arrival, Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's deputies found Rhone lying in the driveway, where he was pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect, 31-year-old Dominique Maurice Ball, was present and taken into custody without incident.
