On December 16, 2017, family members reported 49-year-old Adalberta Chavez Ruiz and her husband, Ricardo Santiago Gonzales, missing from their Cleveland, Alabama, home after not hearing from them. Upon visiting the residence, relatives discovered blood, prompting them to alert authorities.
