On March 12, 2018, in Morris, Alabama, 37-year-old Joel Nathan Murphree was fatally shot outside the mobile home of his estranged wife. The incident occurred in the Rolling Hills Village mobile home park off Morris Majestic Road. Authorities responded to a call reporting a possible shooting just before 10 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered Murphree deceased at the scene.
