In the early evening of May 4, 2018, the life of 32-year-old Demarcus Jones, a Black male, was cut short in Montgomery, Alabama. At approximately 6:32 p.m., police and fire medics were dispatched to the 900 block of Goodwyn Drive following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered Jones suffering from a fatal gunshot wound.
