On a day that began like any other, concern grew when 39-year-old Jennifer Lynn Grap, a Caucasian female, failed to appear for her job as a nurse practitioner in Birmingham. This uncharacteristic absence prompted a welfare check at her residence on Seddon Farms Lane in Pell City, Alabama, on October 30, 2018. What unfolded next was a scene of tragedy that would leave a community in mourning.
Upon their arrival, officers from the Pell City Police Department peered through a window of the
secured home and observed a body. This grim discovery led to their entry into the residence, where they found both Jennifer and her 47-year-old husband, Patrick Wayne Grap, deceased. Both had suffered fatal gunshot wounds.
