Police Officer William Ray Buechner, Jr., a 13-year veteran of the Auburn Police Department, was tragically killed in the line of duty on May 19, 2019. He was 37 years old at the time of his death. The incident occurred when Officer Buechner and two other officers responded to a domestic disturbance call in the 3300 block of a trailer park in Auburn, Alabama.
