Courtney Jones, a 17-year-old Black teenage girl from Montgomery, was killed late on the night of July 21, 2019, when gunfire shattered the 400 block of Hall Street. Montgomery police and Fire Medics were sent there at about 11:35 p.m. after a report that someone had been shot, and when they arrived they found her with a fatal gunshot wound.
