On July 21, 2019, at approximately 11:35 p.m., Montgomery police and Fire Medics responded to a shooting incident in the 400 block of Hall Street. Upon arrival, they discovered 17-year-old Courtney Jones, who had sustained a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigations revealed that the suspect fired into the residence, fatally striking Jones.
