On December 15, 2019, 21-year-old Dominique "Niquee" Marshall of Bay Minette, Alabama, attended a house party in the Elsanor community near Robertsdale. The event was held at a residence rented through Airbnb, reportedly for a graduation celebration. The gathering attracted a large crowd, with estimates suggesting over 100 attendees.
