On May 24, 2020, at approximately 7 p.m., Decatur Police responded to a shooting on Flint Creek Private Drive in Danville, Alabama. Upon arrival, officers discovered three individuals deceased from gunshot wounds: 55-year-old James Edward Miller of Lacey's Spring, 54-year-old Teresa Lynn Peters of Danville, and 50-year-old Tammy Renee Smith of Danville.
