In the summer of 2020, the life of 18-year-old Amendo McKee was cut short by an act of gun violence in Montgomery, Alabama. later, on Sunday, June 14, 2020. His death was officially classified as a homicide, prompting an intensive investigation by the Montgomery Police Department. The investigation led to a breakthrough a few days after McKee's death. A 20-year-old individual was identified as a suspect in the shooting.
