In the early hours of a Sunday morning in Washington, D.C., a life was tragically cut short. Joseph Denard Southall, a 30-year-old Black male known to his loved ones as 'Reddz,' was found with gunshot wounds on April 29, 2012. The shooting occurred around 12:30 a.m. in the 600 block of Edgewood Street, Northeast. When police officers responded to a call in the area, they discovered Southall suffering from the fatal injuries.
