In the early summer of 2021, a young Black/African American man's life was cut short in Uniontown, Alabama. Jimmie Lee Rembert Jr., a 25-year-old male, was shot and killed on June 2, 2021. The incident that led to his death began with a seemingly innocuous activity among acquaintances.
