On October 10, 2012, Gregory Darnell Troxler, a 21-year-old, was shot and killed at approximately 3:51 PM in the 1100 block of 8th Street, Northeast Washington, D.C., near the Gallaudet University campus. Police arrived at the scene shortly after gunshots were reported, finding Troxler unresponsive with gunshot wounds.
