In the spring of 2011, a burst of gunfire on a street in Southeast Washington, D.C. set in motion a tragedy that would take nearly two years to reach its somber conclusion. On April 4th, in the 400 block of Burbank Street SE, a young Black man named Jonathan Alonzo Woods was shot. He was just 22 years old at the time.
