On November 5, 2021, 24-year-old Devyn Sterling and his fiancée, Shalondria Grey-Chavers, also 24, were tragically murdered in Sawyerville, Alabama. The couple was reported missing by their families, leading to a search that culminated in the discovery of their bodies on November 7, 2021. They were found in a shed on Grey-Chavers' property near Topaz Road, having been fatally shot.
