In the early morning hours of Sunday, November 3, 2013, the life of Jeffrey Jarrell Garnett, a 25-year-old Black male from Southeast, Washington, D.C., was tragically cut short. His body was discovered by members of the Metropolitan Police Department's Criminal Investigation Division at approximately 6:37 a.m. in the 3500 block of Stanton Road, SE. The officers were in the area canvassing for a separate investigation when they came across the grim scene.
