On a cold Friday morning in Washington, D.C., the life of George Edward Hartzog, a 24-year-old Black male, was tragically cut short. On January 24, 2014, at approximately 9:31 a.m., Hartzog was found shot in the 4500 block of Quarles Street in the Northeast quadrant of the city.
