On September 15, 2022, at approximately 12:25 a.m., Montgomery police and fire medics responded to a report of a shooting in the 6000 block of Woodley Circle, located off Woodley Road, south of the bypass. Upon arrival, they discovered 23-year-old Montgomery resident Dante Gholston deceased at the scene from gunshot wounds. The Montgomery Police Department immediately initiated a homicide investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.
