On a cold December evening in Montgomery, Alabama, the lives of two young men were tragically cut short. Dylan White, a 20-year-old Black male, was at the Birchwood Apartments in the 500 block of Eastdale Road South on December 4, 2019, when gunfire erupted around 8:45 p.m. When police arrived at the scene, they found a chaotic and heartbreaking situation.
Dylan White and another 20-year-old, Antuane Daniel Jr., were discovered with fatal gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the
scene. Two other men were also injured in the shooting and were quickly transported to a local hospital for treatment. The incident was immediately classified as a double homicide, and the Montgomery Police Department began an intensive investigation into the violent encounter.
In the days that followed, the community grappled with the senseless violence that had claimed two of its own. Family and friends remembered Dylan as a young man with a bright future ahead of him. His funeral service was held on December 14, 2019, at the Ross-Clayton Funeral Home Chapel, followed by his burial at Davis Cemetery in Waugh, Alabama.
Despite public pleas for information and an ongoing investigation by the Montgomery Police Department, no arrests have been publicly announced in connection with the murders of Dylan White and Antuane Daniel Jr. The case remains a painful and unresolved tragedy for their families and the wider Montgomery community, a stark reminder of the devastating impact of gun violence.
