On June 15, 2023, 28-year-old Gregory Allen Jarrett was found with a gunshot wound to his head/face in the front yard of a residence in the 2500 block of Eleven Forty Road in the Simpson Point Community near Grant, Alabama. Responding to the scene were deputies from the Marshall County Sheriff's Office and officers from the Grant Police Department.
