On September 3, 2023, at approximately 11:32 p.m., Mobile Police Department officers responded to a domestic incident at a residence on the 500 block of Felhorn Road East in Mobile, Alabama. Upon arrival, they discovered 54-year-old Darrin Benjamin deceased inside the home. His wife, 53-year-old Ladina Benjamin, was present at the scene and taken into custody.
