On September 30, 2023, 29-year-old white male Thomas George “Tommy” Bostany was fatally shot while seated in his vehicle at the Mountainside Villas Apartments on Penthouse Drive in Birmingham, Alabama. Responding officers from the Birmingham Police Department discovered Bostany unresponsive inside his car around 4:12 p.m. He had sustained 13 gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene by Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel.
