In the spring of 2015, a burst of violence shattered the afternoon calm in a Northeast Washington, D.C. neighborhood. On Thursday, April 23rd, at approximately 1:30 p.m., the sound of gunfire echoed through the 4300 block of Gault Place, NE. When the chaos subsided, 49-year-old Charles David Hatcherson, a male resident of Southeast Washington, was discovered unconscious, having sustained an apparent gunshot wound.
