On April 23, 2024, 17-year-old Jacob Wade Smith was fatally shot in Daleville, Alabama. The incident occurred at a residence on Woodland Drive, where an argument between Smith and a family member escalated, resulting in Smith being shot in the neck. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
