On October 15, 2015, at approximately 7:35 p.m., Tavon Maurice Patterson, aged 23, was shot and killed in the 3200 block of 15th Place SE, Washington, D.C. Members of the Metropolitan Police Department's Seventh District responded to reports of a shooting and found Patterson suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a nearby hospital, but sadly succumbed to his injuries soon after arrival.
