On April 2, 2014, in Homer, Alaska, 24-year-old Aaron Michael Rael-Catholic died during an encounter with law enforcement. The incident began when Alaska State Troopers responded to a domestic violence call around 8 p.m. The female victim reported being assaulted by her ex-boyfriend, Rael-Catholic, at her residence approximately four miles out East End Road.
