On November 15, 2015, the Juneau Police Department responded to a 911 call reporting the discovery of two bodies in a condominium on Douglas Island, Alaska. The victims were identified as 36-year-old Robert H. Meireis and 34-year-old Elizabeth K. Tonsmeire, both residents of Juneau. Both had sustained fatal gunshot wounds, leading authorities to investigate the incident as a double homicide.
