On the morning of February 1, 2016, Alaska State Troopers were dispatched after reports of gunfire at a home on Autumn Lane in the Meadow Lakes area outside Wasilla. Inside, troopers found White/Caucasian male, 10-year-old Dean Millard and his 40-year-old mother, Renee Millard, dead of gunshot wounds.
