On October 30, 2017, 32-year-old Tuan Q. Nguyen was fatally shot in his Palmer, Alaska, apartment. The investigation revealed that 46-year-old Duyvu Nguyen, who was not related to the victim, had discovered an affair between Tuan Nguyen and his wife, Xualan Tran. In response, Duyvu drove from Anchorage to the Mat-Su region, located Tuan's apartment, and shot him three times in the head.
