On September 2, 2024, 22-year-old Steven Williams was fatally shot while working at the Speedway Express gas station on Glacier View Avenue in Palmer, Alaska. The incident occurred around 12:40 a.m., when a masked individual entered the station, approached the register, and fired multiple shots at Williams, who was found deceased behind the counter upon police arrival.
