On April 25, 2021, in Wasilla, Alaska, 54-year-old Marjorie "Margie" Gardner was tragically shot and killed in her home. Her husband, 48-year-old Charles Doubek, contacted authorities late that night, reporting the incident. Upon arrival, Alaska State Troopers forced entry into the residence on Snowshoe Lane, discovering Marjorie deceased and Charles in a state of medical distress, suspected to be due to a drug overdose.
