On February 1, 2016, in Wasilla, Alaska, 40-year-old Renee Millard and her 10-year-old son, Dean Millard, were found deceased from gunshot wounds in their home. The Alaska State Troopers responded to reports of gunfire at the residence in the Meadow Lakes area shortly after 8 a.m. The initial 911 call was made by another juvenile present in the home at the time of the incident.
