On December 31, 2019, in Wasilla, Alaska, 60-year-old Olha Abramova was found deceased with a gunshot wound to her chest. Her son, 38-year-old Denys Abramov, arrived at the Wasilla Police Department around 4 a.m., carrying a handgun and with blood on his hands. He informed officers that he had harmed a family member. Subsequent investigation led officers to discover Abramova's body in a neighborhood on Wasilla's north side.
