On May 18, 2023, at approximately 12:17 PM, Anchorage police officers responded to a shooting incident in the 400 block of Mumford Street in the Mountain View neighborhood. Upon arrival, they discovered 22-year-old Daishon Alex deceased outdoors. The area was secured, and the Crime Scene Team processed the scene.
