On February 25, 2024, in the remote Inupiat whaling village of Point Hope, Alaska, 39-year-old Molly Stone was fatally shot in her residence. The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m., when a 16-year-old male entered the home armed with a handgun and began shooting, resulting in the deaths of Stone and another resident, 41-year-old Konrad Killigvuk. Two other men present were severely wounded during the attack.
