On July 7, 2024, 15-year-old Prentice Lovell Little of Adamsville, Alabama, tragically lost his life in an accidental shooting. Early that morning, Prentice and four other male acquaintances, aged between 14 and 18, were riding in a minivan in East Birmingham. During the drive, a 14-year-old passenger mishandled a handgun, which discharged and struck Prentice. The group immediately transported him to UAB Hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
