In the summer of 2023, the life of Frederick Douglas Berry Jr., a 41-year-old man from Birmingham, Alabama, was tragically cut short. On the evening of Tuesday, August 8th, Berry was riding his bicycle in the western part of the city when he was fatally shot. The incident prompted an investigation by the Birmingham Police Department.

In the days following the shooting, authorities made an arrest in connection with Berry's death. The individual taken into custody was also a 41-year-old man ...
