On January 21, 2023, 12-year-old Anterrius Deonte Hill was fatally shot in his Center Point, Alabama, residence. The incident occurred shortly after midnight in the 300 block of Oxford Acres Circle. Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies responded to reports of a juvenile gunshot victim and found Anterrius with a life-threatening wound. Despite immediate life-saving efforts and transport to Children's of Alabama Hospital, he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
